Full-time Alpine Race Team - 4005

Sale Price: $4,800.00 Original Price: $5,000.00

Program Overview:
The KSEF Full-Time Ski Program is crafted for young athletes from U10 and up who have successfully advanced from previous alpine teams or are dedicated to pursuing high-level competitive alpine ski racing. This structured, supportive, and high-performance environment is ideal for young athletes prepared to elevate their skiing abilities to new heights.

Advanced Training and Development:

Our dynamic training schedule includes five days per week of on-snow instruction featuring advanced gate sessions, precise skill drills, and guided free skiing designed to refine racing techniques. Complementing the alpine regimen, athletes also engage in one day of cross-country skiing per week, which effectively builds endurance, overall fitness, and improves movement efficiency. This engaging cross-training adds variety and enhances aerobic capacity in a low-impact, enjoyable manner.

Off-Snow Training: An essential component of our program includes one dedicated afternoon per week of off-snow training. These sessions focus on strength development, mental resilience, injury prevention strategies, and burnout management, ensuring athletes remain physically robust, mentally sharp, and healthy throughout the competitive season.

Far West Racing Focus: Our Full-Time athletes participate exclusively in Far West races, providing them with a challenging and competitive platform to showcase their talent, refine their racing strategies, and further develop their competitive careers.

Program Goals: Our ultimate objective is to significantly advance our athletes' racing skills, enhance technical proficiency, and cultivate a competitive mindset, ensuring readiness for the next stage in their alpine racing journeys.

US Ski & Snowboard Membership: All participating athletes must hold a valid US Ski & Snowboard membership appropriate to their age group.

Pre-Season Dryland Training: Athletes benefit from specialized pre-season dryland training sessions, scheduled from September to November, which emphasize physical conditioning and essential preparations for the upcoming on-snow season.

Required Equipment:
Families are responsible for providing the following essential equipment:

• Skis: SL, GS, and SG event-specific skis, including recommended training ski options.

• Boots: Properly fitted race boots with appropriate flex rating.

• Poles: GS and SL poles with pole guards.

• Helmet: Hard-ear ski helmet bearing an FIS safety sticker.

• Goggles: Multiple lenses suitable for varied weather conditions.

• Gloves: Waterproof ski gloves or mittens.

• Shin Guards: Mandatory for SL training and racing.

• Back Protector: Recommended for enhanced safety.

• Speed Suit: Highly recommended racing suit with FIS patch.

• Ski Backpack & Water Bottle: For training session essentials.

Equipment Guidance:
We strongly advise athletes and families to consult with KSEF coaches prior to equipment purchases to ensure optimal fit, performance, and safety. All gear requires coach approval before use in training sessions.

Gear Up and Stay Connected:
Recognizing the significant investment ski equipment entails, families are encouraged to explore ski swaps and used equipment options, which can be especially beneficial for rapidly growing athletes.
